Running is an art… you have to be clear about four basic concepts:  technique, effort, talent, and inspiration.
And all this must be combined in dynamic equilibrium.

- Kilian Jornet

Coaching runners.

As an ultrarunning coach and an ultrarunner myself, I know a bit about potential and how it can come alive through support, challenge, and the joy of the sport. I believe that every athlete, regardless of experience or ability, thrives with a balance of encouragement and the right kind of challenge. Seems to me a supportive environment where runners can push beyond their limits while feeling seen, heard and valued is not a bad thing.

Real scientific evidence-based technique - both mental and physical - forms the foundation of my coaching philosophy. Efficient form, injury prevention, and the power of the mind ensures the journey is sustainable and rewarding. That means I know talk is cheap.  But there is a sweet spot there.

I come from the world of classical music - Juilliard, conducting the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, being a recording producer for Sakamoto Ryuichi, hailed by The New Times.  Working in technology and growing a company from two contracts with friends to 5,000+ B2B clients? Whatever. It all kinda worked out.  And the reason why is that I was always focused on purpose.  Nobody noticed the external details.  Sport: Ultrarunning is more than a physical challenge; it’s an exploration of self, community, and the incredible beauty of nature. That’s about as poetic as I’m willing to get on a website.  But there’s way more poetry beyond.
